In 2019 the front and back decks were re-stained, and in 2025 the front and back deck posts were
upgraded with Trex deck sleeve posts and solid hot-rolled steel rails for durability and a clean, modern
look. This home has been upgraded with quality systems: in 2021 the owners installed a Trane 18 SEER
dual fuel, variable-speed furnace with heat pump along with a Trane whole-home air filtration
system—a major comfort and efficiency boost. That same year they added a Stûv Compact 30H wood
stove with heat accumulator and finished the area with porcelain tile, creating a cozy focal point where
they enjoy fires October through May. In 2020, premium 6" Gutter Helmet brand gutters were installed -
front and back, and in 2021 the well was improved with a new oversized Red Cap well head (pump) and
updated indoor equipment. In 2018, 240V service was added for a hot tub and electric dryer, giving
future buyers even more flexibility. The kitchen and dining room have also been refreshed: the floating
cabinet over the kitchen island was removed (2021) to improve sightlines, and in 2024 a dining room
wall was removed to create a more open, modern flow. That same year, the owners installed a new
Frigidaire oven, Frigidaire induction cooktop, and Electrolux washer & dryer with pedestals; and in 2025
they added a Jenn-Air “Rise” dishwasher and a kitchen ceiling fan. Pi House has two upper-level lofts -
north end and south end – each with a half bath, additional living area, and ample storage. Comfort on
the upper levels was enhanced with new Mitsubishi mini-splits with H2i technology in the south loft
(2024) and north loft (2025). A new garage door opener (2023), LED garage and outdoor motion lights
(2025), and a widened driveway entrance (2025) round out the practical improvements.
Of the 4.71 acres, 1.6 acres are wooded/wetlands that attract turtles, owls, foxes, bald eagles, egrets,
river otters, tree frogs (lots of frogs!), turkeys and deer. From 2017–2025, over 30 cubic yards of topsoil
and perennial plantings were added to create gardens that attract butterflies and hummingbirds and
feature azalea, hydrangea, hibiscus, black-eyed Susans, Joe Pye weed, crepe myrtle, rose of Sharon,
Hosta, anemones, fern, cassia and more, along with year-round evergreens like holly, Goldust japonica,
and spoon wood. Hummingbirds are so abundant that three feeders are in use from April through
